[/i] White she-cat with flecks of black splattered across her pelt with deep green eyes ringed with a pale faded green. She was very attentive to her kits needs, though the kits thought she was just pestering and over-protective. Even when her litter became apprentices she remained checking up on them and fussing over their whereabouts. She eventually allowed her kits to become independent though after she did her kits started to talk to her more openly, in fact, Ivyroot sees his mother in the elders den at least once a week.
NAME: Ivyroot
GENDER: Tom cat
AGE: 29 moons
CLAN: Shadowclan
POSITION: Warrior
APPEARANCE:
PELT COLOR: Black with tawny, brown, and a few ginger patches
PELT LENGTH: Long
MARKINGS: Tortoiseshell patches and stripes
EYE COLOR: Golden yellow/ amber
BUILD: The thick fur covers his muscular build. He is a rather big cat with a bushy tail and smallish paws. He is in great condition with his muscles.
STRENGTHS:Ivyroot is an excellent hunter, fighter, and, surprisingly, swimmer. He is the usual warrior in all of these ways, except his swimming is odd for a Shadowclan warrior. He doesn’t like the water, but if he is faced with a situation where he must swim he is very exceptional at it. With his muscular build he can propel himself through the water. Along with swimming, his muscular build provides him with long powerful jumps which he uses to hunt. He can jump high in the air to catch a bird even if it has begun to flee. His small paws seem to make it hard for him to hunt, but he overcomes this with his jumping. His small paws also make it seem like he couldn’t fight, but his small paws have a lot of power behind them to really deal damage to a foe. He seems to be the usual warrior all except his swimming.
WEAKNESSES:Ivyroot tends to be a bit clumsy because his paws have difficulty keeping his balance, his bushy tail is also disproportionate which doesn’t help him in the least. His strength in hunting comes from his jumping, which wouldn’t be needed if he wasn’t clumsy enough to scare off all the prey in the whole territory. He also isn’t very fast as his bulky fur and muscles slow him down. He could never survive in Windclan he always thinks jokingly when he misses something because of his speed, not that he would want to live in Windclan.
PERSONALITY:
POSITIVES:
- Determined
- Ambitious
- Has more respect for the warrior code than most, but not obsessed with it
- Hard-working
- Has a soft spot for kits
- Follows orders of higher-ups
NEGATIVES:
- Spiteful
- Cocky
- Loud
- Often gives the cold shoulder
- Bottles up emotions
- Bossy
LIKES:
- A challenge
- Bossing cats around
- Flustering other cats whom he doesn’t like
- Being mischievous like a young warrior
- Being looked up to by cats younger then himself
DISLIKES:
- Being made fun of
- Sharing his emotions
- Whining
- Being told what to do
- Cats disobeying him
Fears:Though Ivyroot seems fearless, he has a fear of dying in battle which is why he always tries very hard in battles. When there are big battles in other clans he tends to go too far, he has killed many cats in his lifetime because of this fear. He constantly thinks that his small paws won’t pack enough of a blow so he uses lots of muscle which causes excessive damage to his foe, not that this is always a bad thing.
Habits:He has the habit of sleeping in too late. He stays up late into the night, but can’t wake up early the next day. He tries to get up with the other warriors, but sometimes he ends up sleeping until sun-high. As an apprentice he got into some trouble, of course, and his punishment was to be on the dawn patrol, which he had never done before because of this habit.
Another habit of his is to say things that don’t make much sense or things that don’t have to do with the situation; he tries to avoid this by thinking about what he says first though.
Goals:His goal is to one day be Ivystar. (He isn’t like Tigerstar though) He is rather loyal to the warrior code and follows orders from higher-ups in hopes that one day he will become deputy. He wants to be in power because he wants to help his clan as much as he can.
RELATIONSHIPS:
MOTHER: Blizzardberry-
FATHER: Patchfang- [/i] A calico tom with deep amber eyes. He was a very easy going father, always encouraging the kits into trouble. He had a very close bond with them when they were younger since he seemed such a polar opposite from his mate. As they got older they began to lose their bond with him and started growing closer to their mother, this hurt Patchfang. He died in a fierce battle with Riverclan.
SIBLINGS: Hazelstream- [/i] A calico she-cat with bright green eyes. She is Ivyroot’s litter mate and one of his best friends. They always had a close bond; she has a lot of the same characteristics so they get along well. Ivyroot gets along so well with his sister because she is very passive and submissive, so she always listens, but she is also ambitious, determined, and hard-working. She sometimes says that if Ivyroot were to be Ivystar, she could be the deputy, though she says this jokingly as she doesn’t think they could get that far in life no matter how hard they try.
MENTOR: Dappledleaf- [/i] A tortoiseshell she-cat with amber eyes matching Ivyroot’s. Dappledleaf often had to tell Ivypaw to stop being so bossy to the other apprentices and that she was his mentor not the other way around. She taught him how to fight like a warrior when he was still so young and tiny. Dappledleaf made the best of his clumsy tiny paws and taught him how to get around them. Ivyroot thought Dappledleaf was a great mentor though annoying at times.
CRUSH/MATE: N/A

HISTORY:
Ivyroot was born newleaf 29 moons ago with his sister Hazelkit. Their mom fussed over every detail and was very over protective. She didn’t want them out to late so they wouldn’t be too tired, she made sure they ate enough. Though, if it wasn’t for Blizzardberry those kits would have been into a lot of trouble. She once caught them planning out how to catch a badger, Ivy was planning on leaving camp with Hazel to go catch one and kill it. They wanted to be the hero of their clan. Lucky Blizzardberry walked in on their discussion and quickly ended the plot with scolding.
Ivyroot and his sister teamed up with another kit in the nursery, Sparklekit. They were just joking around about going out and hunting. (This is when they were very young, before the badger hunter incident) Sparklekit told them she knew a secret way out of camp that no one would notice; she looked around and pulled up some leaves at the back of the nursery. As she opened it you could see a small hole that only kits could fit through; they had a way out, now all they needed was a plan. They decided that that night they would sneak off from their mothers and go out the small hole to see what they could catch. As they put their plan into motion Sparklekit’s mother woke up. Amberbrook became frightened for her kit and woke up Blizzardberry to help her find her kits. As Blizzardberry woke up and took grasp of the situation she noticed her own kits were missing as well. The trio was hardly out of camp when a warrior search party found them. They didn’t get to leave the nursery for what seemed like a moon, but was only half of that time.
At last, after 6 horrifying moons of mischief, these kits were made apprentices and given more privileges to terrorize the clan with worry. Ivyroot’s first moon was uneventful as Dappledleaf kept a close eye on him. She knew what he was capable of, she was one of the warriors in the small search party that found him that night he had escaped, she had also heard about his great badger hunting plan, and a few other stories that had drifted out of the nursery. She kept him busy with duties and training and hunting. Ivyroot was so tired that moon he hardly had any energy to do anything in his free time except share tongues with his sister and sometimes Sparklepaw.
Within the first moon of being an apprentice all he could really do was hunt the birds; he had not yet been taught very much fighting techniques nor did he figure out how to be good at them with his clumsy figure. He often went on the hunting patrols because he was rather good at it. Though, one day, he decided to climb a tree. He slipped on the wet branch. He hurt his paws and couldn’t walk for a quarter moon, Hazelpaw came in to visit him every day and share tongues with him despite the medicine cats warnings. When he could finally walk he suddenly noticed he was much better at fighting, and just slightly worse at hunting. He took this as a great chance to help his clan in battle instead of with food quite so much. He began training hard for battle taking only a few more hunting lessons. He was excited for his hunting assessment which he did great on. After that assessment he was sure he was going to be a warrior soon. It was one moon after that test he became Ivyroot.
Ivyroot sat vigil like all cats should, he thought about what it means to be a warrior and kept alert (Well, not that alert) the entire night.
He and Hazel were so excited that night. In the morning Ivyroot asked to go on the morning patrol, but was sent back to his den for rest. He didn’t like this, he felt wide awake with energy and he liked the morning patrol. Hazel comforted him and told him he could go tomorrow. He moaned a bit and decided not to pester others. He curled up in his den only to realize he had fallen asleep within seconds, he woke later that day and it was past sun-high. He woke and thought to himself I wasn’t that tired was I? He continued that day getting excited every time someone used his new official name. Though Sparklepaw (Still Sparklepaw at that time, later renamed Sparklespike) called Ivyroot Ivykit teasingly about how long he had slept. Ivyroot got very upset at this little comment from Sparklepaw and clawed his ear not leaving any real damage, though he did get in trouble with Whistlestar.
He grew from the pride-loving, mischievous, and easy going apprentice into a pide-loveing, mischievous, and hardworking warrior. He learned strength in his jumping, and his swimming, and how to overcome his clumsy body with small paws. He is a great warrior with bad spots as any cat.
OTHER:
I just realized how my two cats so far are like one in a million. Tortoiseshell tom and purple eyed she cat. You’ll have to forgive me, but I like things special. Err.. bad ending to the history O.o Is the history long enough this time though? On Bloodpool I didn’t realize you really meant a novel.[/size][/blockquote]
